SEASHELL NECKLACE ~ Tiny Brown Murex Shell

This necklace is adorned with a stunning tiny Purple Dye-Murex, found by me on the beach of Algarve, Portugal.

This shell got it's name Purple Dye Murex from ancient times. In Mediterranean cultures these murex snails were used to dye fabrics in a indigo-purple color. There are also fossil shells found of more than 3 million years ago, so this species hold a rich history on earth.
