This necklace is adorned with a handpicked big Banded Dye-Murex Shell found by me along the coast of Algarve, Portugal.

In ancient Mediterranean cultures murex snails were used to dye fabrics in a indigo-purple color. There are also fossil shells found of more than 3 million years ago, so this species hold a rich history on earth. 

The unique shape and rich history of this Banded Dye-Murex Shell is combined with a beautiful angelite gemstone necklace. These gemstones are know for its calming properties and complements the design with its soothing blue hue that reminds us of the calming ocean but also the colors of SEA BY LOU. 💙 

The freshwater pearls aresymbolizing purity and add a touch of elegance, romance and sophistication to this necklace.
